East Pandosy Clinical Support Building

The second stage of the Interior Heart and Surgical Centre Project (after the Cardiac Transition Plan) is the construction of a three-storey 7,850 square-metre (84,470 square foot) Clinical Support Building. This building will be located across Pandosy Street from Kelowna General Hospital, and will be connected to KGH by an enclosed bridge across Pandosy between the third floors of the East Pandosy Building and the Centennial Patient Care Tower.

The East Pandosy Building will house laboratory and clinical support departments that will be moved from the existing hospital in preparation for the construction of the Interior Heart and Surgical Centre, and will ensure that critical support services continue to be located next to the existing hospital.

Construction of the East Pandosy Building is underway, and will be complete in May 2012. The reason the East Pandosy Building needs to be built early is so that part of the existing hospital can be demolished to make way for the Heart and Surgical Centre.
